Project 10: Creating Essential Metrics for Assessing Sex and Gender Integration in Health Policy

The objective of this project is to create a set of essential metrics for assessing sex and gender integration in health policy and subsequently pilot these metrics in the development of the internationalization of the “Carer-Inclusive and Accommodating Organizations Standard”. This project will use a three-stage method to develop essential metrics for assessing sex and gender integration in health policy. This three-stage method will consist of: (1) a review of existing literature; (2) expert review and feedback, and; (3) qualitative analysis of feedback and revision. This project will not only contribute to sex and gender science through inclusive international policy, but also contribute to informing gender methods and measures through the creation of the essential metrics. The process of internationalizing the “Carer-Inclusive and Accommodating Organizations Standard” will serve as a study for piloting the essential metrics.
